Witness @ Lambeth is an effort to place a human faces on the issues bishops attending the Lambeth Convention will examine. While many of us are deeply concerned about LGBT issues, like most Anglicans we are also concerned with other social justice issues, protecting the environment, growing the church, engaging with a multi-faith world, living under scripture and listening to each other. We do not expect this to be a legislative session, rather we expect Lambeth 2008 to be a time of study, reflection and bridge building. During this process, we hope to share our stories and experiences through the World Wide Web.

Structured as a pilgrimage to Canterbury, Witness @ Lambeth participants will have the opportunity to meet and work with other Anglicans as we study the board array of issues now confirming our church. We also encourage you to join in the Letters to Lambeth campaign if you.

Witness @ Lambeth is sponsored by organizations in the United Kingdom and United States and endorsed by these five bishops: The Rt. Rev. Marc Andrus of the Diocese of California, the Rt. Rev. John Chane, the Rt. Rev. George Wayne Smith of the Diocese of Missouri, the Rt. Rev. S. Todd Ousley of the Diocese of  Eastern Michigan and the Rt. Rev. Otis Walker of the Diocese of Long Island. We appreciate their support.

If you would like to contribute towards a scholarship for someone to go to Lambeth as a pilgrim. please make an online contribution.
